Srinagar, Jan 16 (KNO) : Mohammad Sartaj Madni , Vice President of ruling Peoples Democratic Party has said that this years budget has come as balm to all sections of society and will surely lead the state to economic affluence. As the budget was passed after extensive deliberations in Assembly today, Madni said that Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb Drabu can rightly draw satisfaction by leading Jammu and Kashmir to economic empowerment and resource mobilization through an engine of growth and progressive fiscal management. He said that he has put all his experience into use to give state stability and get it out of perpetuating liabilities and deficit. He has shown extraordinary talent to give space to each section and class from ordinary labourer to industrialist and businessman. Employees of the state and the manpower in productive sectors are the real beneficiaries of the budget which has offered adequate incentives, support and sops. The growth index will turn healthier in the stress-free atmosphere and state is likely to usher in assured developmental era. Madni said, the Finance Minister has been ably to reflect in reality the promise of Mehbooba-led Government to making Jammu and Kashmir a self-reliant state where, despite law and order problems , people will be engaged in earning and production on provided resources and direction. He said that while budget proposals were amply elaborate and accommodated the sense of society to move forward, the reforms in taxes and fair distribution of finances will do away with the dependence on borrowing the unwanted gaps in income and expenditure Madni said Finance Minister has been wiser after the debate and showed his efficiency in improving on the basic proposals. He has provided a further relief to stake holders without causing any wasteful expenditure or indulging in any imaginative fiddling with the budget estimates. Madni said that state has shown considerable strength to utilise the indigenous resources for its own development. He said present budget turns out to be a strong edifice for collective gain. With each and everyone feeling relieved, this year will make history because of the pragmatic budget concentrated on doubles and avoiding any jugglery.(KNO)
